This is a multi-stage route above the waterfall, not one photo zipline

Current 2026 listings for the Mekong Fly describe seven ziplines and three suspended “monkey bridges” across a course of roughly 1.8 kilometres in the Somphamit waterfall area. Wikimedia Commons also documents the zipline directly above Li Phi/Somphamit, confirming that the activity is physically integrated into the waterfall landscape rather than being a separate adventure park elsewhere on Don Khon. Expect repeated clipping, platforms and crossings rather than a single long cable.

The waterfall is below you; the safety system is what keeps it a view rather than a hazard.

2026 listings show the activity running, but hours still conflict

Tripadvisor currently lists the operator as open daily around 08:00–18:00, while other 2026 listings show slightly different times. That is enough evidence to treat the activity as active, but not enough reason to freeze one timetable in Atlas. Confirm the current opening when entering the Somphamit park, especially if you arrive late in the day or during poor weather. The operator’s decision on storms, wind or equipment should override a listing that says “open”.

Fit, briefing and operator rules matter more than the photograph

Atlas should not invent height, weight or age limits that are not reliably published across current sources. Ask the staff which rules apply that day and disclose any relevant health or mobility issue before harnessing up. Let staff fit the equipment, follow the clipping sequence exactly and never bypass a platform rule because another guest appears comfortable. Closed shoes and secure pockets are a better default than loose sandals, phones in hand or dangling accessories above the rapids.

The zipline is an optional layer on a waterfall day

Do not let the adventure product erase the place it crosses. Cycle from Don Det, visit the Somphamit viewpoints and understand the scale of the Mekong before or after the course. Ticket structures and package prices have changed over time, so confirm whether the waterfall entrance is separate from the zipline and what the chosen package includes. If the zipline is closed, Somphamit remains one of the strongest natural visits on Don Khon rather than a failed adventure day.
